Do you have a strong desire to travel but don’t have a lot of money? Follow a couple tips to save the most money and enable yourself to go more places for less.

Expensive countries

Get a guidebook and know how much stuff will cost. By knowing how much a cab will cost compared to the cost of a bus ride, you will know how much you have to spend for each thing. Also, instead of taking a plane to some places, taking a train or a bus will cut back a large amount of money. A guidebook can also help you choose the best and cheapest places to grab a bite to eat or drink.

Follow the locals

But if you really want to save some money in food and alcohol, eat street food instead of in the restaurants and follow the locals to get a drink. Most likely, they know the cheapest places to get some grub. Don’t be afraid to ask, either. A simple question could save you a lot of money.

Pick your airline

To save the largest chunk of money, choose the right airline and book out of season and early to get the best price. Don’t be afraid to ask for your money back when prices drop for your flight, sometimes airlines are accommodating and helpful and will issue a refund.
